PLANNING GUIDE

Scaffold Caster Selection Guide

Match scaffold casters using wheel size, stem or leg geometry, brake operation and the documented support requirements for the complete configuration.

Measure beyond the wheel

Record wheel diameter and width, stem diameter, insertion length and the leg connection. The catalog's 125 mm and 200 mm references identify wheel sizes rather than universal fit.

Check the brake and mounting details

Compare the existing locking arrangement and retaining method with current documentation. Obtain a clear photo of the assembly and the old part number.

Resolve catalog differences

Code 9600 is described differently in the two references. We retain its shared 200 mm wheel-size reference and require confirmation of the supplied leg details.

Review mobile scaffold requirements

Consult OSHA 1926.452(w) and system instructions for mobile scaffolds. Selection of a wheel does not establish that a scaffold may be moved under a particular load.
